Prevention of violence to women

Preventing violence against women is a responsibility we all share. Those working in childbirth, early parenting, healthcare, and community leadership have a unique opportunity to drive meaningful change. In this video, voices from these sectors come together to encourage new parents to share responsibilities equally – taking a team approach to parenting and household duties, rather than falling into outdated, rigid gender roles that can contribute to controlling behaviours and family violence.

The video also features the voices and artwork of Gunaikurnai artists Anne Marie and Diane Morgan, whose contributions highlight the longstanding efforts of First Nations communities to address the impacts of family violence and colonisation.

Together with the vital work of Baby Makes 3, we hope this video helps shift the narrative and create lasting change for future generations.
