Your community asset

In early 2026, BusVic approached Lifebuoy with a concern and a challenge. Later this year there will be a state election, and the incoming government will determine whether country school bus routes are tendered. Their decision could change who owns and operates school buses across country Victoria, and our task, therefore, was to travel around Victoria to capture the community spirit that runs deeply in family-owned bus operations and the hundreds of thousands of affiliated country businesses and community organisations that depend on them. Last week, BusVic launched their campaign, and it is hoped that, with the support of Victorians, country operations will remain country owned.
