Clinical trials

Many people with cancer are now living longer, with a better quality of life, due to treatments developed in clinical trials.  Lifebuoy Video documented a “day in the life” of 4 special individuals, all of whom have benefited from a clinical trial to treat their cancer.  When asked why she chose to be part of a clinical trials, Ilka, (who participated in a trial for ovarian cancer), replied; “I didn’t’ have to be on a clinical trial. I chose to be on a clinical trial. I had all the information I needed and all I could think about was all the women who would go through what I went through and try and make that journey for them much easier.”
