Healthy Living

For a parent born overseas or newly arrived in Australia, encouraging healthy habits in your children can be an enormous challenge. It is estimated that 50% of families that now live in the northern suburbs of Melbourne are overseas born. As part of their mission to offer quality medical, dental and healthcare services, DPV Health engaged Lifebuoy Video to produce a suite of short, informative videos to inform culturally and linguistically diverse, (CALD) parents about the importance of healthy behaviours including preparing nutritious school lunch boxes, exercise and active play, limiting screen time, brushing teeth regularly and the value of a good night’s sleep. The Healthy Eating and Active Living (HEAL), video suite is available in English, Hindu, Punjabi and Arabic spoken language.
