The upcoming Voice referendum has, unfortunately, generated more dissonance than unity. As October 14 edges closer, there seems to be more and more messages that make it harder to make a clear decision. To provide people with practical ideas about how to have conversations about the referendum, Lifebuoy Video worked with Groupwork Centre in the development of some videos that have just been launched online. The videos demonstrate practical ways for people to have more effective and connecting conversations where there are different points of view without trying to change another and approach such conversations with curiosity, not fear and anxiety.
Each video concludes with a practical and poignant message for us to remember that when we arrive at the referendum on October 14, we to make sure we arrive together – even if we think differently or see the world differently.
